What competencies are required for the position?

Competencies are configurations of behavior, attitudes, beliefs, knowledge, intelligence and skills. The latter three, sometimes referred to as “hard skills”, have been measured by resumes, references and interviews. However, behavior, attitudes and beliefs have largely been overlooked. The ability to match the true instinctive behavior patterns and attitudes of job candidates to the competency demands of the position is critical to maximizing performance.
